How to Make Cute Tissue Box
Eeek! Dumping ground! Everything I use at my desk was being tossed right into the drawer. I couldn’t even tell ya what was at the bottom of the messy mess. At least my pencil pouch was sort of acting like
A divider, no? Thank goodness for this month’s challenge, because I am beyond words smitten with the outcome of my little drawer organizing project.
Materials you would need
- Cotton Cloth
- Sewing Thread
This is how you would do it
Step 1: Cut the Pieces
We will cut out two pieces of red checked cloth measuring 19*6.5 cm; two plain cloths measuring 19*4.5 cm and two measuring 19*9.5 cm. Splice each checked cloth with a narrower plain cloth and sew the edge at wrong side.
Step 2: Embellish the cloths
We place the wider plain cloth under the spliced cloth and sew three sides except the long side of the narrower plain cloths. Sew a strip of lace at the each joining together place.
Step 3: Shape a box
We sew the long side of two narrower plain cloths together by zigzag stitch with an opening about 5 cm. sew the long side of two wider cloths to shape a box.
Step 4: Make the box stereo
Right side is turned and fold every corner to the maximum equilateral triangle. We will draw a small equilateral triangle at each folded corner and sew them along the lines we draw.
Step 5: Final Touch
We cut off excess part of the small triangles along the lines sewed. Then turn the box inside out. By putting tissues in, we can use this unique tissue box.
Hooray!!! You’re Done!!!
